i’ve done quite a bit of poster rescuing these days, and this is my latest attempt. basically i get given a less than par poster and get told to make it awesome. so, here goes nothing… the first image was pretty much verbatim of what i was given, and then i used my creative license to make two new posters which i think should be used in lieu of the original.
before and after:
and the new and improved:
i like the dead guys best.
and no i dont mean the smashing pumpkins album. i just watched this movie on line and it blew my mind. sorry for the artisticly unrelated post, but on a film note i think everyone should see this thing, it’s totally mind boggling. hang in there, it takes a while to load (it is 2 hours long) and the beginning 10 min or so are slow, but it gets really interesting really fast.
this is the last time i post these fricken things, promise. they are done and done! time to celebrate! hopefully one or both will be in print soon, cross your fingers. you can get in touch with Rachael Cantu to snag one if you want.
sooo, my room mate went to the library and found the most amazing book. forgive me for seeming immature, but as far as prepubescent educational reading goes, this one is a gem…
thank you Shinta Cho, i wish i had come up with something as brilliant. a few glowing samples…
it’s actually a good read, very basic, yet thorough, and quite humorous. i recommend it.
i think i’ll become a children’s book illustrator and craft the next generation of educational reading. the opportunities are endless.
