   When I focus on each component of the image above, i.e. just the animal face, just the stars and moon, or just the heart, I am moved, but the composition of the component elements doesn’t have the same evocative feel for me. Especially grabbing for me are the eyes of the animal and the moon’s eyes.

   well it’s a good thing this is just a sketchbook page then, no composition here is final, and the moon isn’t part of the Oryx image either. but thank you.
