i’m new at this sort of thing…

so, i used to think coloring on the computer was easy, but getting it to not look like it’s all digital is not. i’m not 100% satisfied with this, but its a start, MUCH work has yet to be done…

Leaving Barstow

Hello all, so ive been working extra hard on some new posters. this one i just finished and am now helping with the site deign, so that will be up by the 21st, i hope. Since it’s done, i don’t mind advertising it all over the place, the film is premiering at the Newport beach film festival later this month, everyone in the area should go check it out!!!!!!! sadly I’ll be missing the screening :( but i might be in Chicago, having a blast regardless. more about the banana poster later, adios for now!

Final Inks

ooook, i finally buckled down and knocked out the inks. on watercolor paper no less. originally i was gonna do the colors with Dr. Martin dyes, but now im thinking i might just go digital with it, i haven’t decided yet.I also haven’t decided on a background yet, hmmm.  Thoughts, comments?

i drained my micron pens on this one...

pencil mockup, and some pretty crummy photoshop skillz

here is a crummy photoshop job that shows the pencils of my semi polished up characters. lets hope this passes the approval test so i can ink and begin the final composition. meanwhile, i have taken on another poster project! Leaving Barstow!!! an indie film i worked on this last summer, directed by Peter Paige (most notably recognized for playing Emmet Honeycutt on QAF) and starring Michelle Clunie (AKA Mel from the same show). Not sure i can show off those mock ups just yet, but once i get a finalized poster, i’ll be glad to share. till then…poster-pencil-mock-up.jpg
